Concert on the Green, Thursday, August 6, 2009: with Ssvelt and Nearly Neil. Gates opened 4 pm, the concert started at 5.15 with Ssvelt, followed at 6 pm by Nearly Neil.

The Gabriola Island Lions Club presents its 14th Annual Concert on the Green featuring the Timebenders. A family affair for all ages, the Timebenders will be presenting two hours of music and fun from the 50's through the years to today. With more than 20 costume changes, hilarious impersonations of some of your favourite stars and a fast-paced, non-stop energy explosion, this show takes you on a rock and roll "roller-coaster" of all the eras with music and fun from music's greatest decades. The group Twisted Solicitor will open the show.

Bring your lawn chairs or blanket and enjoy the golf club's natural amphitheatre setting for this extravaganza. There is lots of parking on site and hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, snacks and a beer garden will be available.

For those coming from off-island, free transportation will be provided from the ferry terminal on Gabriola Island to the concert site and back. There will be fabulous door prizes and an auction will be held, so check out the concert details on the poster to the left and come and join us and enjoy the fun.
