Ultrasound for Urgent Treatment Room

In June 2013 Dr. Paul Champion and Mr. Chuck Connors from the Gabriola Healthcare Foundation presented a request to the Gabriola Lions Club for financial assistance to purchase ultrasound equipment to be used in the urgent care room at the Healthcare Clinic. The equipment was required to upgrade patient treatment in the urgent care facility and will provide the ability to transmit images to ultrasound specialists on Vancouver Island if required. The Lions Club has been a long time supporter of community health care and unanimously decided to provide funding for such an important piece of medical equipment. $19000 was donated from the Lions funds and $6000 from funds provided to the Lions by B.C. Gaming.
