Our major fundraising event of the year is the Concert on the Green, held the first Thursday after the long weekend in August. Here are some images and movies from past concerts.

Concert on the Green, Thursday, August 6, 2009: with Ssvelt and Nearly Neil. Gates opened 4 pm, the concert started at 5.15 with Ssvelt, followed at 6 pm by Nearly Neil.

A great concert with new activities including a Vintage Car Show, Hay Rides, Face Painting, Bingo in the Beer Garden, Boy Scout and Girl Guide demos and games. Great weather provided an ideal atmosphere for dancing to the music of Gabriola's own Time Machine and Vancouver's ATARI RADIO STARZ. Some 1150 people attended and over $31,000 was raised for our charitable programs on Gabriola Island.

2018

Thursday, August 9, 2018: Our opening act was The Great Divide, a tribute to THE BAND; the feature presentation was a CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL tribute by Completely Creedence. More than 1,400 people attended and over $38,000 raised!

2010

Concert on the Green, Thursday, August 5, 2010: with Twisted Solicitors and Timebenders. Gates opened at 4 pm and the concert started at 5.

2013

Once again, a tremendous success with the "Doghouse Blues Review" from Gabriola and the "Ten Souljers" from Vancouver quickly getting everybody up singing and dancing. Thanks to our many sponsors and the more that 1,200 people who attended, over $27,000 was raised for charity.

2016

Our 20th annual Concert on the Green featured Steve 'Elvis' Elliot as Elvis Elite! This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we were blessed with great weather and a great show. We raised over $34 ,000 for our charitable programs on Gabriola Island thanks to our generous sponsors and concert attendees. (Photo: BK)

Thursday, August 8, 2019: Our opening act was The Vinyl Cafe's Reid Jamieson Band, featuring Reid Jamieson and Carolyn Victoria Mill; the feature presentation was a ROD STEWART tribute by Rod and the Mods, featuruing Brent Stewart. More than 1,100 people attended and over $31,000 raised for our charitable programs on Gabriola!

Thursday, August 7, 2014: The concert was a tremendous success with some 1,250 people attending to enjoy the music of Rural Roots and the TIMEBENDERS on a beautiful summer evening. It was our most successful concert ever, raising almost $36,000 for our charitable programs.

Thursday, August 10, 2017: Our opening act was a Neil Young tribute by Roger Potter; the feature presentation was FLEETWOOD MAC by Dreams. More than 1,600 people attended and over $41,000 raised - both new records!
